Embrace the World
My abstract artwork, "Embracing the World," was inspired by the French Impressionist master Monet's "Haystacks." Earlier this year, I sorted through photos I took years ago of numerous masterpieces in French museums. Remembering the allure of Monet's "Haystacks," I was deeply struck by his ability to capture colours in various lighting. I admired the master's acute sense of capturing fleeting colours. So, I wanted to create a painting in an abstract form that would evoke warmth during the winter. That's how this piece came to be—it contains a dreamlike and ethereal quality, overall conveying a sense of warmth.
Oil and Acrylic on canvas.
